Fuel Your Growth: Discover My Favorite Podcasts

April is my birthday month and I decided to put the focus on “celebration” in my 3byMe newsletter. So of course I also want to celebrate here on my blog! Celebration means very likely something different to everyone. For me it means having time and honoring my interests, relationships and having fun.

One of the things I like to do when I have time is listening to podcasts. Ideally, I pair it with going for a walk in the forest. What better way to celebrate with you than to share my favorite podcasts then?! Podcasts are such a powerful tool for personal growth. From their accessibility to the wealth of diverse perspectives they offer, podcasts have become a go-to resource for learning and self-improvement.

Let’s walk with me and let’s dive right into my favorite podcasts - I tried to categorize them, but you’ll see that each of them cover several topics. At the end, I’m also sharing non-English podcasts as I sometimes like to listen to German or Slovene podcasts. For all my German and Slovenian speakers out there, you get a special bonus. 😉

Please note that the links are added will sometimes lead you to a specific website, Apple Podcasts or Spotify. You should be able to find them on all common podcast platforms, though.

  1. Personal development

Cara Alwill - Style your mind: This was one of the first podcasts I listened to. Cara Alwill is known on Instagram under “the Champagne Diet” and she wrote already several books as well. What I like about her podcast is that the topics vary according to where she is in life and she basically takes you with her from writing a book, starting a podcast, getting divorced and falling in love. One of the advantages is that the episodes are quite short and serve as a great “pick me up”.

Jenna Kutcher - The Goal Digger Podcast: The one and only Jenna Kutcher! She calls it a marketing podcast, but I feel that it is so much more than that. She regularly interviews other entrepreneurs, friends, her mother…or she gives you an update on her life, business and what she struggles with. It feels like listening to a friend and I appreciate her vulnerability.

Steven Bartlett - The Diary Of A CEO: I don’t think Steven Bartlett needs an introduction…and neither does his podcast, I guess. I’m still adding it here as you have to listen to at least one of his podcast episode once. His interviews are quite long, but he definitely knows how to ask the right questions. Luckily, there are also shorter episodes in case you don’t have 1,5 hours to listen to an interview.

Mel Robbins - The Mel Robbins Podcast: This is another “famous” podcast, but also super helpful! Mel Robbins is (among others) an inspirational speaker, writer and started her “personal development” career after a career as a lawyer. So you can imagine that she knows how to talk. 😉 Yet, she also knows how to listen and to dig deeper into a topic.

  2. Relationships

Esther Perel - Where should we begin?: Chances are that I have mentioned Esther Perel already in a conversation (if we know each other). She’s an extraordinary therapist, author and in her podcast you get a chance of getting a sneak peek into her therapy practice as you listen to a recording of a therapy session. There is so much wisdom in her podcast episodes and if you are in a relationship or not, I highly recommend her podcast.

Dr. Alexandra Solomon - Reimagining Love: Spoiler: Esther Perel and Alexandra Solomon are friends. Coincidence? 😎 Although her focus is also relationships, she tackles plenty of other topics in her podcast and usually interviews other experts as well. I like her voice and I like her style of sharing some insights from her life and at the same time she keeps it professional and focuses on the topic.

  3. Marketing & Entrepreneurship

Amy Porterfield - Online Marketing Made Easy: Meet Amy Porterfield, who is also friends with Jenna Kutcher. What can I say, these experts sometimes come in pairs. I read Amy’s book “Two Weeks Notice”, I’ve already gone through her programme “Digital Course Academy” and I’ve been an avid Online Marketing Made Easy podcast listener for quite a while. I love her mix of business, interviews and life updates, and it’s also not all about marketing. Even if you aren’t into marketing, have a look and see if one of her episode titles speak to you - she has shorter and longer episodes which I like as well.

Bossbabe - The bossbabe podcast: If you are on Instagram, I’m pretty sure that you know bossbabe from their quotes. Well, they also have a podcast! The guests they have on their podcast can be very inspiring and it’s of course often about how to build a business etc., and their CEO does solo episodes, too. I don’t listen to it every week, but would definitely recommend having a look if you are looking for some business inspiration and a fresh look at common issues that come up when building a business.

  4. Non-English podcasts

Enjoy!

…and let me know which one you took on a walk with you. ✨
